Gwen Cohan

Hi!
I’m Gwen Cohan. As an award-winning television documentary writer and newspaper publisher, I’ve been churning out eye-catching copy, press and marketing materials for more than twenty-five years. My client list includes everyone from individual business owners to international corporations, and the materials I produce for them are as varied as the clients are themselves.Gwen Cohan

It’s my job to take the “most technical, dry material” and spin it into interesting, attention-grabbing “need-to-know” information for my clients. Whether I’m producing corporate videos or writing for the web, print or broadcast, my unique style and ability to translate my client’s needs onto paper is what sets me apart from other copywriters.
Through Media Frenzy I offer clients the creative business tools they need to succeed in today’s competitive market place, be it with in-your-face copy, public relations and marketing services and/or web design. To cover all of your needs, I often collaborate with other results-oriented people in related professions.

A little background….

I received my Bachelors degree in Broadcasting from the University of Florida and earned my Masters Degree in Communications from Columbia University. After spending several years as a radio and television reporter, anchor and producer in Gainesville, FL, I moved to the world of advertising, where I assisted on a variety of national ad campaigns, including Prell Shampoo, Marlboro and Virginia Slims (Wells, Rich, Green in New York). I later joined Philip Morris USA, where, as a Corporate Communications Specialist, I wrote press releases, planned celebrity functions, assisted in launching Philip Morris Magazine, produced employee motivational videos, and edited and wrote employee publications and other collateral materials, including material for the legal department.
After a move to South Florida, I freelanced as an account executive for PR firms, and wrote for magazines and newspapers. I also worked as a television writer and producer, supplying material mainly for The Discovery Channel’s Cutting Edge Medical Report, and MSNBC’s Technology Today. In 2005 I created Today’s Teen, a newspaper written by and for teens. During my four years as publisher, the paper grew from a small publication to an award-winning must read for more than 100,000 teens, teachers and parents in Palm Beach County.

Wanting to get back to my first love, writing, I began freelancing again, and as my client base increased, I established Media Frenzy and took on some partners to be able to fulfill the varied needs of my clients. You’ll find some samples of our work on this site, but if you have any questions or would like to see more material, please contact me at info@mediafrenzy.com, or pick up the phone and call (561)865-1277.
